A Quiet Place to Rest and Dream
Dreamers Writing Farm is the physical home of the Dreamers community, a quiet, creative space on the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. Writers, artists, and travellers stay here throughout the year in simple, literary-themed cabins, tents, and studio suites. It’s a place to work on personal projects, take breaks from routine, or spend a few days in nature.
The Farm began as an extension of Dreamers Creative Writing. The same themes you read about here: writing as reflection, lived experience, place, belonging, and healing, are present on the property as well. Many guests come for our self-guided writing retreat, though people also visit for time away, to read, to rest, or to explore the region.

What You’ll Find Here
- Several small cabins, glamping tents, and a studio apartment, each with its own character.
- Walking paths, forested areas, and a small secret-garden entrance.
- A self-guided Fireside Writing Retreat kit for guests who want structure in their writing time.
- Shared outdoor spaces, including seating areas, fire pits, and an outdoor kitchen in summer.
- A simple, self-check-in system so you can arrive and settle in at your own pace.
The Farm is close to Sauble Beach, the Bruce Trail, and local waterfalls, and is about thirty minutes from Tobermory and the Grotto. Some guests spend their days exploring, while others settle in and write.
Fireside Writing Retreat
Writers often choose Dreamers for a quiet, independent retreat. Stay in any available cabin, tent, or studio, and participate in our self-guided Fireside Writing Retreat. The retreat structure is flexible. Many people spend part of the day writing and part of the day walking the property or visiting nearby trails and conservation areas. Follow the healing writing workbook lessons and prompts for a more focused stay.
